![]() Meeting Ashley was one of the best things to happen in my life. For years I've said that I've needed to start working out and getting in shape, but it wasn't until 2016 that I really committed to this statement. Ashley motivates you to push harder than you've ever done before. With every session I would curse her for working me so hard, but I knew she was getting me to my goals. I learned new things from her that I know I will use forever. She really takes an interest in her clients health and getting you healthy, doing everything she can to get you to the best you you can physically be. I am so extremely thankful for Ashely being brought into my life and I know she will be the only trainer I would ever want to train with. I have gained muscle and a friend while working with her. ![]() Why can I say from my experience with Ashley as my nutrition coach... I am AMAZED by the results I had. As an experiment and desperation move, I hired Ashley's nutrition services and a Meal Prep company "RealFood" in Cancun where I live. I did not want ANY room for mistake as I knew altering even 1 thing from the diet would make it sabotage my result. Upon my choosing of Ashley for my nutrition coach, I stumbled into Wodapalooza Transformation Challenge. I was hooked. I had a plan and now a goal. All that remained was the journey... So I started. Full of doubts and my huge gut which had months of "bad" foods and a world of pizza and sugar.... Ashley took me day by day... Text by text... More than a nutritionist, she became my psychologist. OF COURSE I had cravings, OF COURSE I wanted to bail and eat a pizza.... But between Ashley and my wife, they kept me on track. Week by week my nutrition changed. Day 20 was when I saw a HUGE change. Suddenly, my clothes fit again! My pics looked better and better.... And they best of all, I had lots of energy, was in a good mood and my brain was working great! Now, about me: I'm a CrossFit athlete, L1 trainer FANATIC of working out, injured my back (not on CF, before) and that has made me be very careful on what I do. I've been in good shape before, but recently, I just lost it! Couldn't get back on the wagon no matter what I did. I desperately did a no carb diet and nothing! Still fat!!!! Weeks passed, of course as the deadline for the Challenge got closer diet was tighter and tighter... I went loco (crazy) last days for just a taste of sugar... BUT Ashley kept me always well fed and energetic. Soon the cravings were gone. My cheat meal day was blah. I could have done with 10% of what I ate and I found some flavors not tasty now. My digestion and sleep improved with the diet AMAZINGLY. I remember my last cardio weeks when she said: walk. Yes! Only walk!!! And man, it's a huge break from all the running I always did trying to get fit! Lol So the challenge deadline came. Submitted my pics and got selected between MANY: top 10 finalists!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!! (On weds 7/13/16 I will know!!!!) Ashley changed me. I could not be happier. I love my new body, better than ever at 36yo. I now train happy, shirtless, full of energy. Yes, I tried different nutritionist before, no I never had prescribed what she sent me (yes it's a secret, no, it's only food) and I am amazed. Yes, I'd swear by her methods and now, I continue her diet plans even post challenge. ARE YOU READY FOR YOUR CHANGE? You’re an email away u know? ![]() "I have always considered myself an active person rushing from work and beating the traffic to make it on time for my group exercise classes in the evenings. It is what keeps me sane after a long day of work and what I enjoy as a hobby. This weekly exercise routine helped me shed some weight after a few months. But, after awhile, the weight loss came to a standstill. I would tell myself, “What I know gets people fit is exercising regularly and eating healthy. Why am I not looking any different?” At the time, I interpreted this as do as much cardio as you can and eat all the sugar you want as long as you burn in your group class and eventually you will see results. This mentality helped in the short term but it did not help in reaching my fitness goals of doing a single push-up and having a flat belly. This is definitely not Ashley’s motto and it is not mine anymore. My journey with Ashley started back in February when I was getting ready for my dance team’s performance season. I began to panic because at the time I could not keep up with the routine like the rest of the girls and I did not like how the uniform was fitting. I decided that I needed to finally give in and try something new and I walked over to the weight training room. I remember looking at the machines and being inundated with all these questions and concerns: Where to start? How much weight do I add? How many times do I do this machine for? How often a week should I be in this room for? So, I started simple and attempted to do some push-ups since I felt more comfortable knowing their efficacy than the efficacy of the machines. My noodle arms could not keep my body up and I collapsed on that yoga mat. That was my turning point. I knew I needed help and there was no shame in asking for some guidance. That week as a sign from the heavens, I met Ashley. The last 4 months have been life changing. It has not just been a shift in workout and diet but a life style change. The first day of training with Ashley consisted in having an in-depth conversation on getting to know our short term and lifelong fitness goals as well as our current diet and exercise habits. She then went about giving us options on how to make changes to our diet and fitness to attain realistic goals. The thing about Ashley is that she believes in giving you options. She will never force you to do anything you don’t want to do. She gave us the choice to help us tweak our current diet or provide us with a highly supportive one. She meets you where you are, but she will strongly advise or work around certain things in order to keep you on track. I have such a sweet tooth and Ashley found recipes for me to satisfy the craving without steering too much from the diet plan. What a difference in energy levels and productivity did the diet plan have at work and at the gym. Ashley doesn’t force things upon you but she pushes your potential. She intuitively knows how much you can handle and will always challenge you in her weekly session. I have to mentally prepare every time I meet with her because we juice every minute of the hour we are together. After the insane workout we have, Ashley checks in with us on the current body-weight training and the diet plan. She is always willing to make suggestions to better cater your taste buds and modify the fitness routine. I started at 122lbs. and am currently 115lbs. 7 lbs. give or take may not sound like a lot to shed in 4 months but now I know that the number you see on a scale cannot be the only factor to consider in your fitness journey. Many friends have asked me what I have been doing since they can see significant changes. People have pointed out toner arms, legs and waist. It truly has been an all-around transformation. I have to admit it has been difficult to notice the physical changes for myself because I see myself everyday. Rather, I can sense the changes in my strength. I can confidently do push-ups and am no longer intimidated by the weight training room. I feel stronger and I am stronger. Being disciplined with the diet and fitness routine roots from having the inner and outer strength to persevere. I know that there is always room for growth-to be stronger, leaner and more disciplined but I am glad that I will have the support of a positive and inspirational coach such as Ashley to guide me in reaching my potential." ![]() "I met Ashley back in February and immediately had a great feeling about her. She asked me what my goals were and what I had been trying to do achieve these goals. Her personality was very enthusiastic into getting me to my goals and met up as soon as I could. With our first session, I knew that she wasn’t playing around. I had been sore before of course but nothing to what I was used to. Even though she had me train harder than I had before, she was very encouraging and doesn’t want you to give up. Her workouts are very good and fun at the same time. Afterwards she gave us a diet plan and workout routine that we are supposed to follow and is very simple as long as you put your mind to it. The workout routine is definitely not a joke either. It’s a great full workout and has me feeling great every time. And the workout is simple enough to do at home. If I had any questions about anything with the routine, Ashley was there to help me out with my questions. The meal plan is great for the routine and is definitely a change to what I was accustomed to. Food is good too, and if you don’t like something, she will accommodate you but still be a very nutritious. When I first started I was at 250 and was not in very good shape. I now feel stronger and lost 25 pounds so far and I am motivated to continue with Ashley and I know she wants the best for me." ![]() "I contacted Ashley at 135 pounds with 10 weeks to get in stage shape for the Miss Tennessee USA competition. Without hesitation, she said, “We have a good amount of time.” I sent her pictures (which I would soon realize was the key for Ashley being able to diagnose and plan what my body needed to reach my goals), and in return, Ashley sent me an easy-to-follow supplement plan, diet plan, and workout plan. Throughout the entire 10 weeks and even now, post-pageant, Ashley has been motivational, knowledgeable, and effective. Ashley was always encouraging and motivating me to do my best, even when I was afraid I wasn’t doing things perfectly. Ashley’s plans are realistic, but also difficult. Whenever I didn’t feel like I was hitting the mark, Ashley would listen to my “excuses,” and revise the plan for the next week to make up for my missteps for the week before. However, most weeks after sending her my weekly progress pictures, Ashley sent back super encouraging words like, “You look awesome!” Even when I would tell her that I didn’t see a big change from the week before, she would point out things like, “I can see lines in your thighs! That’s what we want,” and just with that affirmation and positivity, I’d be ready to tackle another week. Whenever I had questions about the diet or how to do an exercise, Ashley always had an easy-to-understand answer. She would also consistently respond quickly, which was awesome when I was literally standing in the middle of the grocery store and needed to know what spices were best, or where to get a certain type of protein. Ashley sent recordings of herself performing exercises, so I knew exactly how to do them; however, if I still wasn’t sure, I sent her recordings of myself doing the exercise, and then she would give me feedback on my form. During the week of the pageant, I was between 115 and 120 pounds, I had a six-pack, and I had confidence for days. Ashley had given me the tools I needed to reach my goals. Everywhere I went people were complimenting my physique. I had total strangers asking me about my workout routine. Everyone at the pageant complimented and was impressed by my physique as well. One of the girls from the teen pageant introduced herself and said, “Everybody is talking about how awesome your body is. What’s your secret?” To which I answered, “A lot of hard work and an amazing coach.” During the one-on-one interview portion of the pageant, the judge who operates a fitness-modeling agency said, “You obviously work out. What do you do?” This was especially awesome because we only had two minutes with each judge, and I hadn’t even introduced myself yet, but he remembered me from the stage! Since Ashley is online, working with her is a self-fulfilling mixture of having the expertise of a coach, but yet still having ownership over the process. It was awesome knowing that I’m the one that motivated myself to carry out each workout, and that I’m the one that made those meal plans a reality, but what it comes down to is this: If I didn’t have Ashley as my online trainer and nutritionist, I would not have had the confidence I did to walk on stage in front of 40 other beautiful women, a panel of judges, and a full auditorium. As I stood backstage amongst the other girls and waited my turn to walk on stage in my two-piece bikini, my mind was only centered on myself; I didn’t look around wishing I looked like any of the other girls. I was absolutely happy and confident in the body that Ashley helped me make. I have all of the gratitude in the world for Ashley, for pushing me more than I ever thought possible, for creating the best version of myself, and for answering every little question I had about everything. I really feel like I ended this 10-week endeavor with not only an awesome body and a lot more exercise/nutrition knowledge, but I also ended up with a new friend. I look forward to continuing to work with Ashley to maintain my figure and also for future competitions!" |
